I finally actually finished my site
March 20, 2025
Well folks, we did it. We finally finished the site in its entirety. Took long enough.
I know you’re wondering a few things. “Isn’t this your first blog post in 2 years?” Yup. My bad. I was too busy being whimsical and frolicking in the fields to sit my ass down and actually write something. Won’t happen again.
“What took you so long to finish the website itself?” For the most part, I was daunted by the task of writing all these pages. It was paralyzing looking at all the work I needed to do. Granted, most of it was procrastination, dicking around in games like TF2 (my beloved). But other times, I was working at my job, or maybe I was working on a video. A lot of the time I was doom-scrolling social media. Maybe I was even drawing, for the few times of which I actually decided to do it. But very little of my time was spent thinking about my website at all. Things just kept getting in the way. Or I was lazy. Or I wasn’t paying attention to it.
You may have noticed a few new things. I added a “Resources” page that includes lots of tutorials and downloads to stuff regarding making videos and stuff. I added commission prices so you know what to expect if you want me to make something for you. I overhauled the entire aesthetic of the site to make it more flashy and cool looking. Doesn’t that all sound neat?
What can you expect from this point on? Well, first of all, I’m going to start paying WAY more attention to this site. One of the first things I plan to do is to buy a proper domain and pay the boys at Nekoweb some money so that they can let me do it. There’s also going to be lots more updates and whatnot. Be it blogs, or adding more resources, or changing the CSS to look cooler, whatever it is I’m going to stop neglecting this site and add lots of cool stuff for you to check out.
A website is like your own child. And mine was drowning in a pool. Don’t be like me.
It’s not to say that ALL of the lack of updates was due to neglect. There was lots of important shit going on that was, frankly, way more important than updating a silly website. For one, I was moving group homes. The one I was in at around the time I was migrating from Neocities to Nekoweb, was frankly kinda dogshit. It felt like they didn’t really treat me like a human being and only wanted me there for my family’s money. Not to mention, they were really manipulative too. They shittalked my parents a lot for practically no reason. They tried to get me to sign something that said I had a mental illness that I didn’t have and threatened to kick me out if I didn’t sign it. I remember at the time I tried to do a fundraiser because I was, reasonably, scared shitless. Eventually they caved in and removed that part but my mind was already set. I was ready to move out of that place. I’m so glad my mom found a different group home because these new guys actually treat me with respect and dignity. You may be wondering why I live in a group home in the first place instead of with my mom. At first it was because of anger issues I had at some point, but then eventually it was because my mom just no longer had the funds to sustain me if I were to move back in. (We’re both in poverty.)
The group home provider hooked me up with a job connected with a day program run by the parent company. Mostly it’s volunteer work that I do at places like thrift stores and janitorial stuff at industrial warehouses and gymnasiums and stuff like that. They only pay me for an hour of work, probably because the day program can only be there for so long. Therefore, the checks I get are very miniscule. It’s a bit unfortunate, but at least I’m getting SOME money.
Hope that explains where my life has been and why there hasn’t really been very many updates to this site. As I said, that’s going to change! I can’t wait to work on this site more and show you guys what all I’m ready to share!
